One primary purpose of the church is to develop mature Christians.
In Colossians 1:28 Paul states that his goal is that “he may present everyone mature in Christ.”
Paul goes on to say: “For this I toil, struggling with all His energy that He powerfully works within me.”
We want to be like Paul, who gave it all he had, and in the power of the Holy Spirit helped many to grow and mature in their faith. We do this through the preaching of the Word on Sunday mornings and teaching of the Bible at weekly Bible studies. In addition, we also have Care Groups.
Our Care Groups meet at least once a month for a meal and meaningful time of sharing and prayer. Our goal is for everyone to get to know one another and to encourage each other towards Christlikeness.
Hebrews 10:24-25 : “Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
If you’re not currently in a Care Group but would like to be, contact Pastor Chuck for the locations and times of the group nearest you. Email him at email@example.com.
We look forward to having you be part of our Care Groups at Port Gardner Community Church!
